Texture

WOW...Just SLIGHTLY explored the world of TEXTURES.... I feel as if I have only scraped the tip of the iceberg... and it's one hell of an iceberg at that.

Er, just tried something simple with a simple shape and grabbed a texture off the extra Maya CD that came with the program.... It's a "Chrome texture" but I didnt use it for that...I just made it look freaky.



This first image has no light.



These two images have a spot light on them.


YAY FOR SIMPLICITY AND EXPLORATION!

By the way I made these on my Mac and am uploading them on a pc...the colour difference is PHENOMONAL here...I hope you can see a shadow or two....Gah.

Also, can anyone help me with the rendering? There seems to be some weird triangle thing happening there...
